He held the position of Vice Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Emirate of Sharjah between 2011 and 2015. He was the first Gulf commentator to work on the Egyptian Nile Sports Channel. He authored a book titled Sports Commentary between Amateurism and Professionalism.
