Scott Z. Burns is an American screenwriter, producer and director. He was born in Golden Valley, Minnesota in 1962. He has written screenplays for The Bourne Ultimatum (2007), The Informant (2009), Contagion (2011), Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014) and “The Man from U.N.C.L.E” (2014). He is a frequent collaborator with Matt Damon and director Steven Soderbergh. He also produced the Academy Award-winning film “An Inconvenient Truth” (2006).
