Thereafter, he started working at the Barter Theater in Abingdon, Virginia, then studied acting at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. He made his debut in...Read more 1960 and graduated from Teachers College in Towson University, and was later awarded an honorary master's degree. He has participated in three separate productions related to DC Universe Animated Original Movies, the first of which is as Riddler in Batman: The Animated Series (1992), Dr. Jason Woodrue in Batman & Robin (1997), then as Lionel Luthor in Smallville (2001).
