Film director, born on April 15, 1960 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Her feature films have won the admiration and appreciation of viewers both locally and internationally, especially her romantic comedies such as The One and the Only, which she directed in 1999. The movie After the Wedding (2006), was nominated for an Academy Award as the best foreign film. As for "Things We Lost in Fire", it is the first American film that won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, European Film Award for Best Director, and European Film Award for Best Comedy Film.
