A Beninese actor who debuted his artistic career in 1989 by working as a model in Africa and moved to France and from there to London. He began his cinematic career through Without you I'm Nothing (1990). He is known for In America (2002) and Seventh Son (2014).

Djimon Hounsou was born in Cotonou, Benin, West Africa, began his artistic career in 1989, working as a model in Africa and then moved to France and then to London, where he began his career participating in the movie "Without you I'm Nothing" in 1990, but he emerged as a movie star following the film (In America) 2002, he is also well known for his roles in movies (Seventh Son and Blood Diamond).
