An Indian actress, born on February 9, 1958, was born into the family of a Sikh and a Muslim mother. Her parents got divorced while she was still young. She was educated at Modern School in India. At the beginning she was a dancer and then turned to cinema. Her father, had a prominent role in his daughter's debut in Hindi cinema, her debut was with the movie Betaab. She first appeared in Bollywood with Sunny Deol (1983), it achieved great success. These successes did not deter her from retiring and devote herself to her family life, so she retired after 1993. Then she took up acting again in 2002 through the movie 23rd March 1931: Shaheed.
