An Egyptian journalist and writer, born in 1930 in Alexandria. He worked as a journalist at Dar Al-Hilal since 1972 until he retired. He wrote The Legend (a collection of stories), The Penitent (a novel), and The Doppler (a serial novel in Al Kawakeb magazine which was turned to a book). He wrote a large number of short stories in various Egyptian newspapers. He published his first short story in Al-Resala magazine in 1958. He edited a critical chapter in Al-Kawakeb magazine under the name The Alarm Clock. He wrote the movie The Witnessed Day.
