American actor, who was born on April 14, 1914 in East Chicago, Indiana, USA. He took acting lessons as a teenager at Chicago's Goodman Theater. He signed a contract with Paramount in 1937 where he began his career which spanned more than 43 years. He performed supporting roles in romances and musical comedies. He joined the army in 1944, after which he resumed his film career in 1947. He is known for The Tall T (1957), Dramatic School (1938) and One Million B.C. (1940). He died on November 6, 1988 in California, USA.
