An Egyptian story writer and critic born on October 14, 1924. He obtained a BA of Arts, Department of Philosophy, Cairo University in 1945. He was pensioned after working as an undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture. He was president of the Story Club in Cairo from 2001 to...Read more 2006 and then the club's honorary president. He became a member of the Story Committee of the Supreme Council of Culture and the Literature Committee of the Library of Alexandria. He worked as a part-time professor of literary criticism at the Faculty of Mass Communication at Cairo University from 1980 to 1982. He worked in Oman as a cultural consultant from 1983 to 1990. In December 1999, the Supreme Council of Culture held an honoring ceremony for him on his birthday; the ceremony featured a number of writers, friends, students and critics.
