He began his career in stand-up comedy. He made his writing debut in The Dennis Miller Show (1992). He gained fame for being the Weekend Update anchor with his trademark line "Now the fake news." He starred in the movie Screwed (2000). He died on September 14, 2021 in Los Angeles, of cancer.
