American actor born on 1 July 1962 in Chicago, Illinois, US. He studied theater at Stanford University and graduated in 1984 and earned a Master's degree in Fine Arts from Juilliard School in 1988. His most notable works include Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013-2021), Homicide: Life on the Street (1993-1998), Frequency (2000), and City of Angels (1998). He married once and has 3 children.
