An American artist, illustrator, and writer. He was born in New York, United States, to immigrant parents from Germany. He served in the US Air Force in the Philippines during World War II and began working in comic book publishing houses. He also participated in drawing and writing superhero stories such as Wonder Woman, Iron Man, and Batman.
