Amir Teima is an Egyptian lyricist who was born in Sharqiyah governorate and then he moved to Port Said when he was 3 months old, where he lived until he completed his university education. He graduated from the Faculty of Commerce, Suez Canal University in 1995. He started his...Read more career as an accountant but retired in 2002 to focus on writing. Since then, he has been one of Egypt's and the Middle East's top lyricists, writing for the most popular stars like Amr Diab, Sherine, Mohamed Hamaki, Elissa, Tamer Hosny, and Mohamed Mounir. He received many awards, including Best Poet in the Arab world in 2003 and 2005 from Al-Ahram Al-Arabi magazine. He has been married to singer Jenny, who retired after their marriage, and they have three children. He co-wrote the series Lahfa (2015), and the play Technical Error (2020).
