Eşeli co-founded ISTANBUL’74 and the Istanbul International Arts and Culture Festival. His father served as a diplomat for the Turkish government. Eşeli spent his childhood in Munich, Germany. After his college graduation, he relocated to New York City to study film. He received a Master of Arts in filmmaking from the New York Institute of Technology. He then went on to direct several commercials early on in his career, and he also worked as a fashion photographer. He shot fashion advertising campaigns with world-renowned stars, including Gisele Bundchen, Frankie Rayder, and Olivier Martinez. He married the creative director Demet Müftüoğlu Eşeli. He is known for Immortals (2018) and Little Bullets (2016).
