An Indian actor, born on June 16, 1947, in Calcutta, Inda, to a Hindu family. He graduated from the Scottish Church College, Department of Chemistry. He was a member of the Naxalit activist group. He then graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India. He made his Bollywood debut with Mrigayaa in 1976, which earned him a National Film Award for Best Actor. His notable credits include The Tashkent Files (2019), OMG: Oh My God! (2012) and Guru (2007).
