An Indian beauty pageant contestant, politician, model, swimmer, and actress, born on January 8, 1957 in Mumbai, India. She made her debut through Junoon (1979) with superstar Shashi Kapoor. She is known for Life in a Metro (2007) and Big B (2007). She also worked for a while in politics, after she objected to the 2009 elections for the Samajwadi Party. She became a member of the Congress Party. She was also the President of the Children's Film Society of India in 2005. She married Arjuna-winning wolverine, Colonel Sodhi, and they got three children.
