A British officer. He was famous for his role in helping the Arab forces during the Arab Revolt of 1916 against the Ottoman Empire through his involvement in the lives of the Arab revolutionaries. He was known at the time as Lawrence of Arabia. A film was filmed about his life in 1962, bearing the name Lawrence of Arabia.
