A British-American writer, photographer, and editor. He was born in New York, USA, and studied at Fordham Preparatory School in the Bronx, New York. He also studied literature at Fordham University, worked in the insurance sector, and then began directing short independent films before his films diversified. Among his notable works are Trash (1970) and Beethoven's Nephew (1985).
