An English actor and writer, born in Tasmania, Australia. He moved to Berkhamsted, England, when he was two years old. He enrolled at Harrow School in London and then at Norwich's University of East Anglia. After earning a BA in Art History, he attended the Bristol Old Vic Theater School to pursue acting training. He is known for By the Sword Divided (1983-1985) and Ted Lasso (2023).
