Since the late 1980s, he has worked as a freelance cinematographer. In the 1990s, he also worked in television. He has become a member of the American Society of Cinematographers since 2004. He was nominated in 2012 for the American Society of Cinematographers Award for the series Man Up! Among his most important works are Leprechaun (1993), Tales from the Crypt (1991), and Malcolm in the Middle (2000). He also directed the movie Glenn’s Gotta Go (2020).
