An American novelist and screenwriter, born on April 11, 1940, in Jackson, Tennessee. He attended Baylor University in Texas. He is best known for creating the famous character Hannibal Lecter and the series of novels that featured it, such as The Red Dragon, The Silence of the Lambs, and Hannibal, all of which were later adapted into famous films and series.
