American actress, born on October 2, 1954 in Brooklyn, New York City. Her father was of Italian descent, and her mother was born in England, and was of French descent. In 1974, she moved to France, where she became a model for Jean Paul Gaultier. She was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, for her role in Goodfellas. After that, she became famous for her role as a psychiatrist in the famous series Sopranos.
