Frank Cottrell Boyce is a British screenwriter and novelist. He studied at St Bartholomew's Primary School in Rainhill and West Park Grammar School. He received a doctorate in English. His debut novel, Millions, was published in 2004 and won the Carnegie Medal from the British librarians. His other novels include The Astounding Broccoli Boy. He also collaborated with director Danny Boyle, serving as the writer of the 2012 Summer Olympics opening ceremony.
