He was a leading Egyptian plastic artist, writer, critic, scriptwriter and theater director. He was born in 1926 in Shubra district, Cairo. He joined the Higher College of Fine Arts after obtaining his high school diploma. In 1947, he participated in the editorial board of the...Read more magazine issued by the Higher College of Fine Arts. In 1949, he began his professional career in journalism. He was appointed director of the National Center for Documentary Films, and he issued the magazine "Art and Life" as the first cultural film magazine. In 1971, he became the editor-in-chief of "Good Morning" magazine. He's known for the films The Land (1970), and People of the Nile (1972). He passed away on the first of August 1985.
