Glenn Ford was a Canadian-American actor, born on May 1, 1916, in Sainte-Christine-d'Auvergne, Portneuf, Canada, as Gwyllyn Samuel Newton Ford. He is also known for The Big Heat (1953), Blackboard Jungle (1955), 3:10 to Yuma (1957), and Pocketful of Miracles (1961), for which he won a Golden Globe Award. He also received other awards and nominations. Ford passed away in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA, on August 30, 2006, at the age of 90.
