An Iranian screenwriter who is known for his social realist films. He was born on October 27, 1954 in Tehran, Iran. He joined the Institute of Cinema and Television in 1979 and studied economics at Tehran University. He began his career in Iranian television in 1989 and later expanded to cinema. He served as writer and co-producer in An Outlook to the Cinema, a 13-part TV show on cinema (1983-1984). He was an assistant director in The World Satirist, a ten-part TV play (1984-1986). His other credits include Poisonous Honey (2003) and Tales (2014).
