A German actor born in Weeding, Berlin, Germany on April 12, 1928. He got married to Anita Park in 1978. At the age of 15, Hardy was fluent in English, French and German, which qualified him to become wanted in many jobs as a foreigner. Hardy made his first movie, The Young Eagles in 1944. However, he was called up for military service, where he was distributed to an infantry division, and he was captured by American forces. He failed to escape twice and succeeded in the third time. After the war, Hardy returned to acting in several British films, including: The One That Got Away (1957), Bachelor of Hearts (1958), and Chance Meeting (1959). Hardy has won many awards including the Bambi Award in 2008, Bavarian in 2002, Honorary in 1983, Golden Camera in 1987 and Jupiter in 2011.
