Since 2000, he has worked as a commercial director, and in 2001, he founded UserT38, a company dedicated to digital preproduction and post-production. In 2006, he directed his first short film Máquina, which was awarded Clermont Ferrand's Special Jury Award in 2007. In 2008 he directed his first feature film, Hierro, released in the International Critic's Week at the Cannes Film Festival 2009.
