American television and film actor, screenwriter, and film producer who was born May 7, 1922 in Spokane, Washington, U.S.. He spent his late childhood in Tacoma. He began his film career while working as a group illustrator for Columbia Pictures and appeared in uncredited roles. In 1949, he joined the cast of a touring production of Death of a Salesman. He debuted on screen in an uncredited role in A Song to Remember (1945). He is known for The Great Sioux Massacre (1965) and The Outsider (TV Movie 1967). In addition, he starred in dozens of TV shows. He died in Los Angeles on February 25, 2006 due to cardiovascular disease at the age of 83.
