American actor and singer born on June 20, 1933 in New York, United States. He began his artistic career in 1973. He is known for Kojak (TV Series 1973–1978), Do the Right Thing (1989), and The Professional Leon (1994). He was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor and a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor.
