His father Salim Khan is a screenwriter, and his mother is Sushila Charagh. His stepmother is Bollywood dancer and actress Helen. He is the brother of actor and producer Sohail Khan. He married actress Mallika Arora Khan. He studied at Skandia School with his brother Salman. He got a son named Arhan born in 2003. He appeared in the 1996 movie Daraar in the role of a villain. He was nominated for the Filmfare Award as the best villain actor. He is known for Pride and Honor (2004). His first directing experience achieved overwhelming success in 2010 with the movie Dabangg, followed by another successful experience in the second part of the movie he presented in 2012, which achieved high revenues and great popularity in India.
