American actress, born as Lucille Fay-Lossur in San Antonio, Texas on March 20, 1905. She is the third daughter of Thomas Lesor, who is of Anglo-French origin, and her mother is Annabelle Joan. She won Best Actress in a Leading Role for Mildred Pierce (1945). She died on May 10, 1977 in her apartment in New York after a heart attack. She is known for Grand hotel (1932), The Women (1939), and Hollywood Canteen (1944).
