An Iraqi writer, director, and photographer, born in London. Her short film Your Dark Hair Ihsan (2005) won several international awards, including the Panorama Short Film Award at the Berlin International Film Festival. Her most famous works include The Narrow Frame of Midnight (2014) and House in the Fields (2017). Her work has been shown in major museums and cultural establishments around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris, and others.
