American actor, born in Corona, New York, USA on December 1, 1922. He married actress Marie Mason (1947-2011), they had 8 children, and he remained with her until he died. Among his most important works are House of Wax (1953), The Untouchable (1959), and The Scalphunters...Read more (1968). His ambition as a child was to become a lawyer, but his teachers described him as a born actor. So, after he finished his military service in the Air Forces during World War II, he worked in the theater through Loyola Marymount University, until he contracted with Warner Bros. to work in Hollywood. Among his early roles was that in the movie Breakthrough (1950). He participated in more than 200 works. He died on January 12, 2011 in Llano, California, USA.
