• A Saudi media personality, journalist, and presenter, born in Unaizah, Saudi Arabia. He began working in journalism in 1976. He graduated from King Saud University, majoring in...Read more journalism, in 1976. He presented radio and television programs, including one on the radio channel MBC FM and another on the MBC channel. He began working as a journalist in Al Jazirah newspaper, then joined Al Yamamah magazine and became its editor-in-chief. He became the first correspondent for the Associated Press in the Kingdom. He held many positions including serving as the general manager and editor-in-chief of Al Daawa magazine. He also worked with Dubai TV and presented the weekly political program The Article. In its first year, the program won the Silver Award for Talk Shows at the Al Jazeera Channel Festival. It was the only winning program after the Gold Award was withheld. Then he became the deputy director general of the Al Arabiya channel and the general manager of the MBC Group in the Kingdom. He specialized in writing newspaper columns early on and became a professional at writing newspaper columns in the early 1980s. He wrote a weekly column in Al Yamamah magazine for more than seven years. He also wrote for many local and Arab newspapers and magazines. He dabbled in dramatic and theatrical writing. His style is characterized by its direct and sarcastic language. He was the first journalist chosen to teach in Saudi universities and institutes. He also presented the program Al-Shurayyan (2016).
