He founded the National Center for Information and Studies, which later turned into the publishing house Dar Al Takadoumya, where he published and circulated Kamal Jumblatt’s books and writings. He also served as President of the Lebanese Association for Scientific, Technical, and Economic Education. Jumblatt entered the political field after his father was killed in March 1977, and he accused Syrian intelligence on more than one occasion of orchestrating his assassination. During the Lebanese Civil War, his political positions witnessed several fluctuations. He fought battles against the Maronite Christians (the Lebanese Forces), and then he emptied the southern mountain region of Christians and became the sole leader of the region. He was the primary narrator in the documentary film Kamal Joumblatt: Witness and Martyr (2015), which tells the story of his father.
