An American singer and actress, born in Illinois, USA, on April 24, 1921. She was married to Willet H. Brown (1945-1993), the pioneer of radio broadcasting, and had one son with him. Her film debut was Forgotten Faces (1936). She continued her film roles during the forties, and also worked on television and was named the "First Lady of Television". In the sixties, she worked in clubs and nightclubs. Among her notable works: Sweater Girl (1942), The Fleet's In (1942), and You Can't Ration Love (1944). She passed away on December 26, 2011 in Los Angeles.
