She refused to leave Kuwait during the Iraqi invasion in 1990, and participated in organizing the first women’s anti-invasion demonstration. During the occupation period, she also published a secret publication titled Women and Children of Kuwait. After the liberation, she published articles in which she talked about the Kuwaiti resistance to the occupation. She was killed by gunfire on the morning of March 20, 2001, while she was passing in her car on a street. Her works include the series Colors of Love (1974).
