She presented Broadway musicals in which she sang with her voice, and she also visited soldiers on the battlefront to entertain them during the Second World War, which infected her with malaria. Many critics viewed her beauty more than her acting talent. she committed suicide on July 5, 1948 in the Pacific, Palisades, California, USA. Due to taking an overdose of a hypnotic Seconal led to her death at an early age 29 years. Carol Landis' most important works include: The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938), One Million BC (1940), Topper Returns (1941) and others.
