He is an American actor, born in New York City, USA on August 17, 1888, and died on May 6, 1963 in Albany, New York, USA, of heart and kidney disease. Monty Woolley was nominated for an Oscar in 1945 and nominated for an NYFCC Award in 1943. His important works are The Pied Piper (1942), The Man Who Came to Dinner (1942), Since You Went Away (1944), and The Bishop's Wife (1947).
