American writer, director, and producer born on 26 September 1965 in Chicago, Illinois, US. Soloway graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a degree in communication. Soloway won Directing Award at Sundance Film Festival in 2013. Soloway married Bruce Gilbert. The works of Soloway include Transparent (2014), Six Feet Under (2001), and United States of Tara (2009).
