She asked her father at an early age to enroll her in a private institute for acting, but he refused. Her...Read more father eventually promised her that if Kim Dae-Jung - the presidential candidate in 1997 won the presidency, he would enroll her in the institute. Fortunately, she joined the Gwangju Institute of Acting to get many roles before she finishes her acting studies. She also won the award for the best young actress in 2000 for her role in the series Autumn in my Heart, which was followed by more than 18 different awards until 2011.
