A British actress, born in Glasgow, Scotland, before moving with her army officer father to India, then returning to the United Kingdom. She received her education at Moreton Hall School, near the market town of Oswestry, before becoming a professional actor. She worked with the actor Laurence Olivier at the Royal Theater in London. She also provided many film roles.
