He was an Egyptian writer, born on April 4, 1922, in Zagazig, Sharkia Governorate. He completed his higher studies at the Faculty of Dar Al-Uloom and obtained a Bachelor's degree in 1948, and he was the first in his class. He was sent as an envoy to Spain and received a doctorate from the University of Madrid in 1954 in Andalusian literature. He wrote several research papers, and hundreds of his articles and poems were published in Egyptian, Arab, and foreign magazines, periodicals, and newspapers. He also published a book called "Echoes of the Flute". He gave speeches on various radio and television programs, and he was the owner of the first literary program on television called, "The Literature Tour." He died on October 21, 2006 in Cairo.
