A Danish writer, born on August 4, 1943, in Holstebro, Denmark. In 1974, he received a university degree in Nordic philology and film and became a teacher at the Screenwriting Department at the National Film School of Denmark, Copenhagen. He is known for The Celebration (1998), The Idiots (1998), and The Inheritance (2003). He died on December 18, 2015, in Denmark.
