A South Korean actor, writer, and director, born to well-known actor Kim Yong-gun, who participated in many films and series. He dreamed of becoming like his father. Before entering university, he studied acting at a private institute, then joined Chung-Ang University and acted in the university theater. In 1998, he began his military service and worked in the Public Relations Department of the Armed Forces. He took advantage of his experience in acting as he appeared in 10 promotional films for the army, and among his most important works are The Chaser, Take Point, Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds, and The Handmaiden. He directed the comedy film Fasten Your Seatbelt.
