Biography
An Egyptian director and actor, born in Alexandria in 1948. He started his artistic career as a singer in Sayed Darwish's choir and turned to acting and directing in 1967. He became known for several plays, such as The Clown by Muhammad al-Maghout, The Groom of the Sultan's...Read more Daughter by Mahfouz Abd al-Rahman, Sinbad by Samir Abd al-Baqi. He also directed the operetta of Scheherazade by Khaled Al Zikr Syed Darwish. He taught a group of the brightest Egyptian artists, including actor Ahmed Rizk, singer Amina, and director Ahmed El-Sayed. He acted in the plays Football Is About Goals, and The People's Artist. He died on November 11, 2015.
