He took a short hiatus from acting to focus on his writing. In 2017, he co-wrote the film Keepers and then co-wrote his second novel, The Corrupt. He appeared in Six Minutes to Midnight, Endeavor, and The Alienist. Joe is also the author of The Vanishing.
