An American actor born in Oklahoma on February 10, 1906. Lon Chaney Jr. was influenced by his father, the silent film star and the pioneer of make-up art, Lon Chaney. In 1935, Chaney became a producer and produced several low-budget films, after which he followed in his father's footsteps, making horror films with Universal Pictures. However, he struggled to escape his father's shadow. Among his most notable work: Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man (1943), Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948), and High Noon (1952). In his last days, he suffered from many diseases until he died in 1973.
