An American actor, known for a wide range of film and television shows from 1943 to 1960. Driscoll became one of the stars of Disney in films such as Song of the South and won an Academy Award in 1950. He participated in Peter Pan (1953), and Treasure Island (1950). Adolescence prevented him from portraying the role of the noble protagonist, forcing Disney Studios to terminate his contract. This painful event in his artistic life represented a turning point in his career. In 1956, Driscoll transformed from an innocent child into a drug addict, and was then arrested. Then he was found murdered in an abandoned house in 1968 at the age of 31.
